ABOUT NICK
NICK VUJICIC
BY CHRIS O CHRIS
“If you were born like this, what would you have done with your life?”
COMPLAIN?
OR REJOICE?
Born on the 4th of December 1982 in Melbourne ( Australia ) as the first born of a pastor, the whole church mourned at his birth and considered him a punishment to his parents.
There were doubts if he would be able to live a normal life and was not even allowed to be integrated into a main stream school by the law but his mother stood against the law and fought for the law to be changed, thereby paving way for him to become one of the first disabled students to be integrated into a main-stream school.
In his early years of school Nick encountered uncomfortable times of feeling rejected, weird and bullied because of my physical difference.
“There were times when I felt depressed and angry because I couldn't change the way I was, or blame anyone for that matter.”
“Is it because I did something wrong? I thought I must have because out of all the kids at school, I'm the only weird one. I felt like I was a burden to those around me and the sooner I go, the better it would be for everyone. I wanted to end my pain and end my life at a young age, but I am thankful once again, for my parents and family who were always there to comfort me and give me strength.”
“I started to develop attitudes and values which helped me overcome these challenging times. I knew that I was different but on the inside I was just like everyone else”.
“Due to my emotional struggles I had experienced with bullying, self esteem and loneliness, God has implanted a passion of sharing my story and experiences to help others cope with whatever challenge they have in their life and let God turn it into a blessing. To encourage and inspire others to live to their fullest potential and not let anything gets in the way of accomplishing their hopes and dreams.”
“One of the first lessons that I have learnt was not to take things for granted. And we know that in all things God works for the best for those who love Him.”
“That verse spoke to my heart and convicted me to the point where that I know there is no such thing as luck, chance or coincidence that these "bad" things happen in our life. I turned my life to God and I now see that Glory revealed as He is using me just the way I am and in ways others can't be used.”
“I am now twenty-one years old (2003) and have completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. I am also a motivational speaker and love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available. I have developed talks to relate to and encourage students through topics that challenge today's teenagers. I am also a speaker in the corporate sector.”
“ I have a passion for reaching out to youth and keep myself available for whatever God wants me to do, and wherever He leads, I follow.”
“I have many dreams and goals that I have set to achieve in my life. I want to become the best witness I can be of God's Love and Hope, to become an international inspirational speaker and be used as a vessel in both Christian and non-Christian venues”
I want to become financially independent by the age of 25, through real estate investments, to modify a car for me to drive and to be interviewed and share my story on the "Oprah Winfrey Show"
“Writing several best-selling books has been one of my dreams and I hope to finish writing my first by the end of the year. It will be called "No Arms, No Legs, and No Worries!”
Nick at a glance
•He had the greatest disadvantage that is known to man
•He had to fight rejection and lack of acceptability
•He seemed to be different from everybody and no one understood his inner longings
No excuses
•No excuses should be enough to stop you from reaching your goals. Nick never allowed excuses determine his destiny
•Nick began to see the good in him and he continued to focus on them while paying no attention to those things that were his disadvantages
Values: what are they?
•Vision
•Abilities
•Longings
•Unveil
•Experiences
•Strength
Exercise
•What lessons can you learn from Nick’s life that can make you an hero in our land?
What can stop you?
If the witch within doesn’t kill, the one without can’t kill.

DOWN BUT NOT OUT........IJEH EGO
Down but not out……….……
Slowly as he walked through the garden with a heavy heart and tears-filled eyes, life seems unfair and wicked. Ahead lies along journey without any sense of direction or signpost. Why, how ……oh God where are you, what did I do wrong was all he kept asking with no response or answer.
He pondered over the events of the past 4weeks and all he could do is sigh and wished there is someone to hold him and tell him that everything will be alright.
Does this sound familiar to you?
Is your heart so heavy and there seems to be no hope in sight?
Do you feel like ending it right now?
Are you so lonely, confused and dejected?
Joy and sadness, pain and pleasure, ups and downs, life and death, abundance and scarcity
You begin to see SELF
-Self doubt, suicidal tendencies
-Emotional instability/ low self esteem
-Lost of vision/ focus (blindness), lack of self confidence and self belief
-Frustration
Maybe you are asking these questions and much more what you are reading now may not even make any sense to you, do you know what? DON’T QUIT
The fact that you are going through these is an indication that there is a solution and it lies deep down inside of you.
Try and remember all the things you have accomplished, the little things to be grateful and thankful for – the air you breathe, the sunshine and rainfall, your hands and feet are still intact, the fact you can still think and even see and analyze your situation and realize that you need help…..and so much more.
Write out all your strength and weakness in a tabular form. You would be amazed to discover that there is so much potential and greatness inside of you because there is more to you that meets the ordinary eyes – you are EXTRA-ORDINARY
Celebrate your self, say nice things to yourself and please focus more on your capabilities/ strength.
Look for people you trust and believe in you talk to them and you will also do well to make new friends that share the same values, ideas and principles.
And always remember that you are a work in progress, a product who is not without a manufacturer so don’t be too hard on yourself. Your manufacturer has not given up on you so why quit?
There is still much ahead of you so much greatness, so go ahead and write that book, sing that song, act on that idea, don’t delay or have a second thought. ACT NOW
I believe in you and this generation applaud and celebrate you.
The fact that you are down doesn’t mean you are out. Remember when you are down you can’t go further down than down, and when you are down the only thing you can do is to look up and ahead. So look up and tell me what you see?
A new beginning, new opportunities, clear and bright skies, new dreams, visions and so on. Your down situation is what qualifies you for his lifting because He can only lift when you are down so reach out because it’s your time to believe and rise again.
You are down and not out so let Him lift you as we meet AT THE TOP.

DEOLU & TOPE AKINYEMI AJEGUNLE STORM
What a meeting it was on sunday as Deolu Akinyemi and his lovely wife arrived the jungle city to impart our people.
They arrived the meeting at about 6pm after Praise has mounted the podium and in his characteristic manner treated the house to a menu on STOLEN WATERS
Praise spent time challenging the thought pattern of the people by asking How can water that is readily available be stolen and how can water that is classified as tasteless becomes sweet. It is all a matter of perception.
Praise said if we are not careful what is readily available would be stolen and what is tasteless would become very sweet. He took us down memory lane to what we believed before now and how the media has exchanged our truth for a lie such that we now live lies as truths.
what is it in a lady's backside that gets guys crazy? PERCEPTION
what is in the breast that makes every guy long for it? PERCEPTION
He said we should learn to master our sexuality lest we fall prey to societal norms.
Deolu Akinyemi continued from where Praise stopped and said he was glad to be in Ajegunle. He went on to challenge the house about their self esteem using his life.......
How would have believed that the almighty deolu once sold bread and eggs?
Would you ever believe if you were told that deolu was once a barber?
He taught us dignity of labour; the fact that we all need to get busy. He said where we are is nothing compared to where we are going but we must become very busy and allow life throw us around.
He narrated a story of the king that wanted fresh fish but all the fish they brought to him were rejected becuase according to him they were not fresh
some for lack of activity because what makes a fresh fish is activity. The people eventually brought a fish that had been pursued by the shark all day and the king confirmed the freshness of the fish.
He challenged us not to stay idle because what we are doing now is a preparation for our future.
The house broke into two sessions afterwards where Mrs Tope had a great session with the ladies challenging them to padlock their vagina and make it ready for the king.
Deolu on the other hand shared from the life of Joseph using the 5Ps
Plain - a place where everybody is at the same level but also a place to catch a vision
Pit - a place that is lower than the plane where you are paid peanuts. It is a place where your self esteem is questioned and people look down on you. The pit is a place of rejection and dejection where your reality doesnt reflect what you saw
Portipher - A place where you work for someone else. YOu have to prove yourself so well here that your boss must see you as indispensable. But it is also a place where you would be tempted to compromise and sell your destiny for pleasure. This is where your sexuality is questioned
Prison - A place of loneliness where you are alone and weighed down by your problems but a place where you must learn to interprete other people's dreams and forget your own problems because in meeting their needs is where you get your own needs met
Palace - A place of celebration and corronation. This is the place where you are paid more than you deserve.
he ended the session by leading us through a journey on positive confession
it was an awesome time with Deolu and tope akinyemi
we love you in ajegunle and look forward to having you back very soon
we love you sir and ma.
God bless you

YES I CAN.. cultivating a positive esteem
What a day! and what a meeting! on a father's day.
It was anchored by Ego Ijeh and she took time out to celebrate our father in the house Praise Fowowe who in his response qualified men who are not taking responisbility as nothing but an ejaculation of nothingness after which he took the whole house through a session on self esteem here is an exerpt of the message
answer the following questions
-Do you feel bad when others around you succeed?
-Do you feel threatened when someone else gets what you desire?
-Do you feel inferior when you see others who seem to be better, smarter or better dressed than you?
-Do you look down on others when you are around popular figures or celebrities?
-Do you feel very lonely when you are alone?
-Do you ever get to say no to people you love/respect when you feel what they are doing is wrong or you give in?
-Are you scared of offending/losing someone you love that you become jealous of other people around the person?
-Do you become very aggressive when you hear people say something bad about you?
-Do you go out of your way to meet new people?
-Do you have a silent fear that you are not good enough?
-Do you always keep quiet in a group even when you know the right answer for fear of making a mistake?
-How often do you hear your fathers affirm you, say I love you or tell you how good you are?
-Do you rely on what you are doing presently to determine how you feel about yourself?
According to University of Texas
Healthy self-esteem is based on our ability to assess ourselves accurately (know ourselves) and still be able to accept and to value ourselves unconditionally.
This means being able to realistically acknowledge our strengths and limitations (which is part of being human) and at the same time accepting ourselves as worthy and worthwhile without conditions or reservations
1.Upbringing – childhood experiences
-Acceptance Vs Rejection
-Respect Vs Comparison
-Love Vs Hatred
-Affirmation Vs Abuse
-Forgiveness Vs Accusation
-Virtue Vs Vices
-Wealth Vs Poverty
-Believe Vs Fear
2. Past experiences –
-Successes Vs Failures
Academics
Relationships – Abuse
Finances
How many times have you heard the words:
-Impossible
-You will fall
-You can’t have it
-Do you want to die?
3. Peer influence
-Bully
-Friendships
-Segmentation – beauty/ugly, tall, short, legs etc
4. Religious orientation
5. Societal/media influence
how do we define success, beauty, love, wealth etc
Praise challenge the whole house to get out of themselves and realize that 'You are a house under construction and no one has a right to judge a house under construction'
taking a cue from Barrack Obama praise ended his presentation with shouts of Yes! you can
even if the world doesnt believe in you...... show them you can
no matter the pastor or witch that has told you you can't .... tell them you can
irrespective of how many times you have failed.....yes you can
no matter the voice telling you its not possible....yes you can
yes you can , you can and you can.

UNMASKING THE MONSTER
WHO IS THE NEXT CASUALITY?
WHO WILL BE USED TO BRING YOU DOWN?
CAN YOUR PAST OR PRESENT DESTROY YOUR FUTURE?
HOW WEAK ARE YOU AT THE MOMENT?
Leadership without moral character is like a beautiful car with a faulty engine; it may travel some miles but it can’t travel too long before the engine stops and where the engine stops is where the car stops.
Vocal authority can’t be effective unless it is backed by moral authority
…that I may not do anything that will make me ashamed of myself whether I live or I die
Paul of Tarsus
-A friend
-A sister
-A mother
-A neighbour’s queen
-A hole
-A thing
Sex is a covenant exchange of life, love and pleasure between the man and the woman in the marriage environment for the purpose of unity, procreation and the expression of marital love
Milk manufacturing factory of the woman with a specialised consumer – infant and acts as a secondary sex organ for sexual pleasure.
VAGINA
… The sealed parcel of land of the woman that is exclusively preserved for the king’s cultivation in the marriage environment.
SEMEN
…the male’s choice seed that guarantees the preservation of the future
Which is more beautiful: The babe/guy or your destiny?
…O my son, whom I have dedicated to the Lord, do not spend your strength on women-the royal pathway to destruction
Mama Lemuel
REMEMBER?
Bill Clinton was on his way to becoming the best ever US president until Lewinsky was introduced into his life and he ended his destiny
Spitzer was going to become the future president of US until the Kristen came calling and he was not only disgraced out of office but also bid farewell to future presidency.
- David never survived his one day madness
- Samson never survived Delilah
- Solomon never survived strange his women
- Reuben never survived Bilhah
What makes you think you will survive?
CAN YOUR PAST OR PRESENT DESTROY YOUR FUTURE?
Now is the time to start afresh
- Open up
- Aplologize
- Forsake
- Make it a testimony
Now is the time to make a fresh commitment
I pledge to my God and gender
To keep my body from pre-marital sex
To treat every lady as my mother, sister, daughter and my neighbour’s queen
To defend their virginity
And uphold their chastity and purity
So help me God
